Workshop to Improve Your Success in Education

Students have the opportunity to prepare themselves as they start Adult Basic Education courses and work towards a Maryland High School diploma. In the workshop, students will learn how to set Specific, Measurable, Action, Relevant, Time-bound (SMART) goals. Students will establish action plans for their goals as well as develop skills in note-taking and study strategies so they can be successful in class and work towards obtaining their GED®. The workshop meets 90 minutes a week for four weeks while students build learning communities to help each other navigate the demands of being a student and balance their lives.
