It's time to take your skills to the next level!
Build on the skills you learned as a CNA to prepare for an entry-level position as a patient care technician (PCT) in a hospital or other health care setting. You will advance your skills in to include more complex procedures such as wound care, phlebotomy, electrocardiograms, glucose monitoring, intravenous therapy, and urinary catheterization.
Completion of this program enables you to sit for National Certification as a Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
The median annual wage for patient care technicians was $27,510 in 2017 (Bureau of Labor Statistics).
Approximate cost of the program is $1,210, not including textbook.
