Harford Community College (HCC) received a $33,961 Career and Technical Education (CTE) Perkins Innovation grant from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) to support their current Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) program. Offered in partnership with Harford County Public Schools (HCPS), the lead institution, and the Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM) at APG, the program is an early college model that combines high school, college and internships.
Harford Community College will hold its Sixty-Second Annual Commencement Ceremony virtually on Thursday, May 21, at 6 PM. The decision to hold a virtual ceremony was made to protect the health and safety of students, graduates, their families and guests, and employees, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The piece reviewed various women who made their place in scientific history and referenced Colleen’s “one-woman show” on the life of environmental pioneer Rachel Carson.

The Maryland Urban and Community Forest Committee of the MD Association of District Forestry Boards, in partnership with the MD Department of Natural Resources Forest Service, has awarded Harford Community College with the Gold PLANT (People Loving and Nurturing Trees) Award for 2019.
