Working with animals has always been my passion. --Denali Readinger

Denali Readinger always had a passion for animals and dreamed of a career working with them. She just took a major step in making that dream a reality by successfully completing the Veterinary Assistant program at Harford. The six-month program which is National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA)-approved, includes five modules and an externship at a local veterinary office.

Denali, who was a presidential scholarship recipient, credits her instructor for an extremely informative and interactive classroom experience and for being very supportive throughout the process. She found the externship to be especially valuable, as she was able to see first-hand the types of scenarios she may be presented with in her future career and was even able to observe some surgeries. Denali hopes to continue her education to earn her bachelor's degree and eventually become a veterinary technician in her ideal workplace: a zoo or wildlife rehabilitation center. We’re glad to help her make her dreams come true!
