The Adult Literacy department at Harford Community College announced upcoming advising dates for students seeking to improve their reading and writing skills for the GED® exam or improve their English as a Second Language skills.

Advising sessions for adult basic education and GED preparation are designed to assist students in earning a Maryland high school diploma. Students must be at least 18 years old and not possess a high school diploma. Advising sessions for spring classes are available at HCC’s campus at 1:30 PM and 6 PM on Tuesday, December 15; Wednesday, December 16; Tuesday, January 5; and Wednesday, January 6. For those looking to improve their English as a Second Language skills, advising sessions for spring classes are available at HCC’s campus at 1 PM, 3:30 PM and 6 PM on Monday, December 14 and Thursday, January 7. The student must be a foreign-born adult at least 18 years of age and not an F1 or J1 visa holder or currently enrolled in high school. Visit www.Harford.edu/ESL for more information.

Please note that all advising sessions are subject to cancellation depending on conditions related to the coronavirus pandemic. All advising session attendees must complete a health screening questionnaire and temperature check prior to their session, follow social distancing protocols, and wear a mask.
