Learning Assessment Committee

The Learning Assessment Committee is a standing committee of the Faculty Council.

It is a faculty-led, inclusive body that provides guidance, assistance, and resources for all learning outcomes assessment activities at HCC.  The LAC also serves in an advisory role to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and makes recommendations to Faculty Council.


Mission

To affirm and improve student learning by providing the information, communication, and support needed by faculty to foster excellence in teaching, courses, and programs through
learning assessment.

LAC Activities and Events

Moving Learning Assessment Forward - FOUR LAC members were honored in May each receiving a NISOD award for excellence in their respective areas.  Please help us in recognizing Jeff Ball, Regina Roof-Ray, Kimberly Hachmann, and Melissa Harris.

Fall Faculty Professional Development Events - Divisional Assessment meetings will be held in lieu of breakout sessions this fall in the August Faculty Professional Development event.  Please communication with your Divisional Assessment Team (DAT) members for information on location and preparation for these meetings.
