Elizabeth Holmes
Professor Transitional English
About
Elizabeth Holmes has taught transitional reading and writing since joining the faculty
at HCC in 2006. Prior to that, she taught in Harford County Public Schools for nine
years. She was a past President and Membership Chair of the Mid-Atlantic College Reading
Association and has received the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development
Excellence Award. Elizabeth is a lead instructor for Transitional Reading and English
courses and has instituted the Reading & Writing Across the Curriculum Workgroup.
She is the Coordinator for the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, focusing on Faculty Professional Development, Adjunct Onboarding and Professional
Development, and New Faculty Orientation.
