We will be taking a guided tour focusing on her legacy, and will see part of the vast collection of over 350,000 objects. Following our tour, we will sit down for an afternoon tea. Celebrate spring in a riot of color at the Holland Tulip Festival! Held annually in Holland, Michigan, this festival features millions of blooms, windmills and parades. We will start our trip with a guided tour of the city of Chicago and then make our way up to Michigan. After the Tulip Festival, we will spend a few days on Mackinac Island, staying at the Grand Hotel. A visit to Greenfield Village ends our trip.

Dates and times are subject to change based on vendor input. Times shown reflect departure and return times from Harford Community College unless otherwise noted. Participants will receive an email from travel@harford.edu with unique trip details after registration and prior to departure date.

Upon registration, you will be emailed an Travel Liability Waiver form. Participants must complete this document prior to travel. If you are traveling with a partner or a group, indicate this on the Liability Waiver so you can be seated together. Trips leave from Entrance 6, Parking Lot W, unless otherwise indicated. Please note that Entrance 6 is not near Entrance 5.

Requests for refunds must be received 14 days prior to departures. Deadlines for refunds depend on when final payments are made by the College. Once final payments have been made for meals/tickets, refunds are not available unless a student from the waitlist is able to enroll and take your place.

Her home, Hillwood, is known for its large decorative arts collection that focuses heavily on the House of Romanov, including Faberge eggs. Peek into the world of someone once known as the wealthiest woman in America. Explore the grounds, gardens, greenhouse and gift shop. Here, Abraham Lincoln made some of his most nation-changing decisions as he developed the Emancipation Proclamation. We’ll start our day viewing exhibits in the visitor center and then we will will walk across the street to visit his former home. Enjoy a live performance of Chicago at the historic Hippodrome Theatre before dinner at Tio Pepe, an authentic Spanish restaurant in Baltimore. A universal tale of fame, fortune and all that jazz, with one show-stopping song after another! In the whirlwind of Chicago’s Jazz Age, two of the Cook County Jail’s most notorious murderesses become fierce rivals as they compete for headlines amidst a media frenzy. Show is two hours and 30 minutes and starts at 1 PM. After the show, we'll have set up an early dinner with a limited menu at Tio Pepe. Fee includes round-trip transportation on a motor coach bus, a balcony ticket and a three-course dinner at Tio Pepe (including tip).
