James Karmel

Dr. Karmel is a Professor of History with a strong interest in supporting student success throughout his 20+ year career in higher education. With a doctorate in American History, he has connected a lifelong passion for History with equal enthusiasm for education. Dr. Karmel is an expert in civil rights history and casino gaming. He also specializes in oral history, public history, economic history distance learning, and adjunct faculty development.
