Richard Johnson
Associate Professor Music
About
Richard Johnson is a composer and multimedia artist whose favorite films of his youth--equal
parts Kurosawa and Spielberg--inspired his ongoing interest in culture and history,
the music of Takemitsu and Williams, and fostered an obsession with adventure and
storytelling. His works for performers, electronics, and video have been performed
internationally and across the United States.
