Harford will host the Maryland Scholars Summit this April, where state community college undergrads can learn the process and rigor of presenting academic research, scholarship, creative activities, and service-learning projects in a professional setting. Abstracts are due March 17.

Phoenix Festival Theater is auditioning for Disney’s “Newsies” on March 18, 19, and 22 in Harford’s Susquehanna Center. All roles are open to all races, ethnicities and genders. Rehearsals begin April 2 and will be held Monday, Wednesday and Sunday afternoons. The show runs June 20-22.
The Board of Trustees of Harford Community College will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 11 beginning at 6 PM. The meeting will be held in a hybrid format; employees and community members may join the meeting in person in Edgewood Hall, Room 132 or watch the meeting via the Internet.
The 2025 Harford Civil Rights Project Civil Rights Leadership Award was presented to Bertha Copeland at a reception at Harford recently for her long, dedicated record of civil rights achievement in Harford County. The award honors a lifetime of dedication to civil rights.
