The Kanaras family created a new scholarship for eligible Harford students enrolled in certain workforce training programs. Three of the first recipients of the scholarships were recognized at the Box Hill Pizzaria’s 40th Anniversary Celebration last month.
Harford received a $92,578 grant from the Maryland State Department of Education to expand its groundbreaking Childcare Apprenticeship Program. As the sole program of its kind in Maryland, the grant will help the College enhance childcare education across the state.
Harford has received a grant from the Maryland Higher Education Commission to install alert beacons in campus buildings. The beacons will act as a critical layer in the campus safety system to communicate emergency messages to students, faculty, staff and visitors.
