Region 20 Player of the Month

Harford men's basketball guard Chandler Johnson has been named Region 20 Division I Player of the Month for January, region officials announced on Tuesday.

Johnson had four double-digit scoring games in January, three against Division I opponents and two versus NJCAA nationally-ranked teams. He dropped a season-high 21 points with six steals, five rebounds and five assists against Division I nationally ranked Harcum on January 13. Johnson had a pair of 14-point, five rebound and five assist games on January 10 and 19 versus Hagerstown. To wrap up the month, Johnson scored 16 points with a season-high seven assists against Division II nationally-ranked Cecil on January 22 on the road.

This is Johnson's second Region 20 Player of the Month award, as the 6' freshman guard snagged the award for December.

The Fighting Owls’ next stop is the Region 20 DI Tournament, in which they hold the top seed and play the winner of No. 2 Allegany vs. No. 3 Hagerstown on Saturday, February 26 at 1 p.m. at Hagerstown Community College.
