2022 Harford Community College Distinguished Alumni Award Presented to Sandra M. Osborn

Dr. Theresa B. Felder, president of Harford Community College, presented the 2022 Distinguished Alumni Award to Sandra M. Osborn, Senior Vice President/Operations Officer at Harford Bank, at the College’s 64th Annual Commencement Ceremony on May 26, 2022. Recipients of the award must attain outstanding success in their chosen profession, demonstrate a commitment to the community, and maintain an interest in and service to Harford Community College.
“Starting at Harford offers students the opportunity to prepare for transfer to a four-year college, save money, get ready for a career, try out college, take advantage of a flexible schedule and still offers many of the elements of traditional college,” Sandra said.
A Harford Community College alumna, she earned an Associate of Applied Sciences in 2009. She is also a graduate of ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking/The Wharton School, The Harford Leadership Academy, National Automated Clearing House Association’s The Payments Institute, Maryland Bankers Association Advanced School of Banking, Maryland Banking School, and the Maryland Bankers Emerging “Champion” Leaders Program. Sandra has been recognized with Achievement Honors by the Maryland Bankers Association Council of Professional Women in Banking for leadership excellence in the banking industry and contributions to the community.
She gives generously of her time and has served as a member of the Harford Community College Foundation Board since July 1, 2018. Sandra is also a member of and holds Board positions in the Aberdeen Lions Club, Aberdeen Lions Charities, Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce, Welcome One Emergency Homeless Shelter, and is a member of Chesapeake Professional Women’s Network. In addition, she serves on the Board of the Mid-Atlantic Clearing House Association, a payment association that serves financial institutions, businesses, and municipalities as a resource for information related to all payment networks.
