Harford biology major and Honors Program member Abbey Battaglia’s goal is to become a registered dietitian working with athletes. She’ll realize her plan utilizing the Maryland Transfer Advantage Program after graduating from Harford.
The Board of Trustees of Harford Community College will meet for a scheduled work session this Friday, April 8 from 9 AM to 12 PM. The Board of Trustees will also hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 12 beginning at 6 PM.
Olivia Borkowski-Johnson, a Harford Community College majoring in nursing, has been named a 2022 New Century Transfer Scholar and will receive a $2,250 scholarship.
Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK), the International Honor Society of two-year colleges, is recognizing Harford Community College’s Rho Beta Chapter and others for their efforts to bring the life-changing benefits and opportunities of PTK membership to even more students on their campuses in 2021.

“The Underwater Bubble Show,” a family-friendly story about our lives, will be presented at Harford Community College’s Amoss Center on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 7 PM. We all know life can be gray or colorful – but this time, it’s going to be very colorful! Mr. B finds himself transported as if by magic to a special, colorful, happy place called Bubblelandia, a place to linger, to dream, to listen, to watch, to savor, and to marvel but, above all, a place to dream.
Claudine Adams, Founder/CEO of Bravura Information Technology Systems, Inc., received the 2022 ATHENA Leadership Award, and Sarah Klein, Director of Front-End Operations for Klein’s ShopRite of Maryland, received the 2022 ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award on March 4 at the Richlin Ballroom in Edgewood, Maryland.
Dr. Stowers is an anthropologist and Registered Dietitian. She believes that America’s community college system is one of its best democratic ideas and loves teaching at Harford. Dr. Stowers oversaw the restoration of the on-campus historic Hays-Heighe House museum and she also served as Harford’s Scholar-in-Residence.
