Dr. Pamela Pape-Lindstrom, Dean of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics and STEM Professor Chris Jones were honored recently in the “Leader” and “Mentor” categories respectively at the 14th annual Northeastern Maryland Technology Council Visionary Awards ceremony.
The Board of Trustees of Harford Community College will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 11 beginning at 6 PM. The meeting will be held in a hybrid format; employees and community members may join the meeting in person in Edgewood Hall, Room 132 or watch the meeting via the Internet.
Phoenix Festival Theater is auditioning for Disney’s “Newsies” on March 18, 19, and 22 in Harford’s Susquehanna Center. All roles are open to all races, ethnicities and genders. Rehearsals begin April 2 and will be held Monday, Wednesday and Sunday afternoons. The show runs June 20-22.

The 2025 Harford Civil Rights Project Civil Rights Leadership Award was presented to Bertha Copeland at a reception at Harford recently for her long, dedicated record of civil rights achievement in Harford County. The award honors a lifetime of dedication to civil rights.
“Obscured Humanity,” an exhibition of drawings and paintings by Kirk Maynard, is on display at the Chesapeake Gallery through April 13. His work examines the hidden aspects of human social life and history, using symbolism and body language to evoke emotion in the viewer.

The four-year Harford County Electrical Apprenticeship program is now accepting applications for the 2025-26 school year. Work while learning residential, commercial and industrial electrical work, blueprint reading, safety, and the National Electrical Code. Apply by May 31.

The College has announced the students named to the fall 2024 President’s List. Among the highest academic honors a college student can achieve, scholars qualify for this prestigious list by earning all “A” and “B” grades and maintaining a 3.76 GPA or higher.
