New Dean of Business and Applied Technology at Harford Community College

Harford Community College is pleased to announce that Dr. Marc Minnick is the new Dean of Business & Applied Technology. Dr. Minnick comes to Harford from Manor College in Jenkintown, PA. In addition to his academic experience, he brings extensive industry experience to Harford.

Dr. Minnick previously served as the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Manor College. He was appointed to the position in December 2019 after serving four months as Interim. Dr. Minnick joined the faculty at Manor College in May 2014. Prior to becoming Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, he served as Program Director of Business Programs; Chair of the Business, Technology, and Legal Studies Division; and Senior Dean of the Business and Technology Division. While Senior Dean, he was also Director of Academic Assessment. He holds an undergraduate degree from Immaculata University, an MBA from St. Joseph’s University, and a DBA from Wilmington University.

His teaching has been recognized by both students and peers. In 2018, he was awarded Manor College’s Outstanding Educator Award and the Trustees Award, the school's highest academic honors.

Prior to joining Manor, Dr. Minnick spent 23 years in the corporate sector where he held multiple executive level positions. He brings these experiences into the classroom when teaching and to the leadership positions he holds in academics.

In March 2020, Dr. Minnick was appointed Chair of Manor College’s COVID-19 Response Team where he helped create, disseminate and enforce all COVID-19 procedures on campus. He led faculty in a seamless transition to virtual learning followed by hybrid-flex teaching.

Born and raised in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, he is an avid Phillies fan and enjoys spending time with his family.
