PFT to Hold Auditions for Willkommen! at Harford Community College

Phoenix Festival Theater is holding auditions for the musical Willkommen! on Tuesday, March 28 and Thursday March 30 from 6 to 9 PM in the Chesapeake Theater at Harford Community College. Callbacks will be Friday, March 31 from 6 to 9 PM. Auditions are first-come first-served each day and sign-ups begin 15 minutes prior to the start time. Performance dates are June 9-11 and June 16 & 17.

Actors 17 years of age and older are encouraged to audition. All individuals should be comfortable with the concepts infused within the show. Characters in this show may have a specified gender; however, performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, ages, body types, dance levels, and abilities are encouraged to audition.

 Auditions are open to the public; all roles are open. Please prepare two 24 bar cuts of a song in the style of the show that showcase your voice and storytelling ability. Live accompaniment will be provided and is preferred, so please bring sheet music. Tracks will also be permitted. Not all roles require dance; however, if you are auditioning for a role that does, be prepared to learn four 8-counts of dance. If you are asked to read from the script, you may be asked to do so with a German or British accent.

Please bring a list of potential conflicts for April and May. Mandatory attendance is required at all rehearsals in June, as well as at all performances.

The show will be directed and choreographed by Bambi Johnson, musical direction will be by Shane Jensen, and it will be stage managed by Becky Flickinger. Rehearsals will begin on April 4, and there will be a full cast read-through on April 11.
