Harford Community College Awarded Grant from MD State Arts Council Music for Maryland: Harford County
28 June 2023
Harford Community College was awarded a $5,000 Touring Grant from the Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC) to support a concert with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. The Touring Grant program was created to “spark and promote the artistic collaboration” between touring artists and their presenters, according to the MSAC. The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra is one of the artists featured on the official Maryland Touring Roster, making this upcoming concert eligible for funding. The Roster is made up of juried artists based in Maryland who already have a history of success in touring. Harford’s grant will enable the College to offset costs associated with hosting a large and notable performance on campus.
The College is excited to bring exceptional music to Harford County residents. The world-renowned Baltimore Symphony Orchestra will perform in the APGFCU Arena at Harford Community College on Saturday, July 8, at 7:30 PM. Music for Maryland Tour reservations are “Pay What You Wish” with a suggested donation of $10 per ticket. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit https://my.bsomusic.org/18646/18661.
