Demonstrate Your Commitment to Harford County Leadership with Harford Leadership Academy
27 November 2023
Join the ranks of more than 1,000 alumni from business and industry, education, nonprofit, government, and civic organizations who have graduated from Harford Leadership Academy, co-sponsored by Harford Community College and the Harford County Chamber of Commerce. This successful community development program is designed to create a committed, involved, and diverse network of emerging and existing leaders within Harford County by exposing participants to the challenges our community faces and the opportunities that are available for community growth. Applicants can submit applications for the Harford Leadership Academy through January 5.
The program requires participants to attend a Thursday evening and Friday daytime kickoff session on February 15 and 16, followed by 14 consecutive Wednesday sessions beginning on February 21. Sessions are a mixture of half day (8 AM to noon), and full day (8 AM to 4:30 PM)
HLA graduates benefit from a communications network between present and future community leaders and are encouraged to take an active role in the growth and transformation of Harford County. HLA session topics include Aberdeen Proving Ground, Analyzing Data in Leadership, How Government Works, Economic & Workforce Development, Education, Agriculture & Environment, Ethical Leadership, Focused Social Issues, Public Safety & Criminal Justice System, Department of Emergency Operations, Healthcare, Power of Communication, and Volunteerism & Personal Visioning.
