“Your Next Destination” Exhibit to Open in Harford Community College’s Chesapeake Gallery

“Your Next Destination,” an art exhibition featuring the work of art and design faculty from area transfer colleges and universities, will be on display from June 13 to September 30 in the Chesapeake Gallery in the Student Center on the Harford Community College campus.

All are invited to an opening reception on Tuesday, September 24 from 6 to 7:30 PM in the Chesapeake Gallery. Save the date and join us at the Gallery to meet the artists and learn about our regional transfer institutions. Additional events will be held throughout the duration of the exhibit.

This exhibit illustrates the tangible connections between art programs in the region. Featured artists represent programs at Maryland Institute College of Art, Pennsylvania College of Art + Design, Salisbury University, and Stevenson University.

For students, this is a chance to see the work of possible future teachers and get a taste of regional art programs. For the campus and community, the exhibit reflects the vibrant art scene in the area, especially in our higher education institutions. For the represented colleges and universities, the show provides an opportunity to directly connect with Harford students.

The Chesapeake Gallery is located on the second floor of the Student Center on Harford’s campus at 401 Thomas Run Road in Bel Air. Parking is free; handicapped parking is available close to the gallery. Gallery hours are Mondays-Thursdays, 8:30 AM-5 PM; and Fridays, 8:30 AM-4:30 PM. The gallery is closed on weekends and major holidays.
