A grant from the National Science Foundation will support a partnership between State University of New York (SUNY), Maryland community colleges, and Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) on a project to improve Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) courses.

The FY 2022 Nurse Faculty Annual Recognition Awards (NFAR) were recently announced by the Nurse Support Program II, which is administered by the Maryland Higher Education Commission and funded through the Health Services Cost Review Commission. Twenty-three of Maryland’s finest nursing faculty were named as award recipients including Harford Community College’s Mary Beverly Gallagher, Assistant Professor in the Division of Nursing and Allied Health Professions. Awardees were recognized for their contributions to nursing education and their service to Maryland nursing students.
