Harford Community College Holds Pinning Ceremony for Practical Nursing Graduates

The Fall 2024 Pinning Ceremony for Harford Community College’s Practical Nursing graduates was held on December 17 in Darlington Hall. The event was hosted by the College’s Division of Nursing and Allied Health Professions with Dr. Rebecca Diaz, Director for Nursing Education.
Congratulatory remarks were offered by Dr. Diane Ryan, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Ashley Meisel, Dean, Nursing and Allied Health Professions; and Stephanie Watkins, Assistant Professor for Practical Nursing and Program Coordinator.
Lena Alban, MS, RN, read the names of the graduates. Stephanie Watkins, MSN, RN, presented the pins and Mary Kate Wiegand, MSN, RN, CCRN, handed the lamps to the graduates. Faith Andrews, DNP, RN, CNE, led the graduates and all nurses in the audience as they recited the International Council of Nurses’ Pledge. Kaitlyn Vane, BSN, RN, presented roses to the graduates. Kenna Ward was the graduating class speaker.
Two students received recognition awards: Megan Schulz received the Spalding Leadership Award – Art of Nursing and Monica Saez received the Spalding Leadership Award – Science of Nursing.
The nursing students who were pinned during the ceremony included Destiny Brown, Stefanie Diehl, Kait Palomo, Monica Saez, Megan Schulz, and Kenna Ward.
