Harford Community College to Hold Early Learning Center Open House

30 January 2025

Harford Community College to Hold Early Learning Center Open HouseHarford Community College’s Early Learning Center will hold an Open House on Monday, February 17 from 9:30 AM to noon for parents who are interested in half-day or full-day preschool options for their children ages 2-5 for this coming fall.  The Center is located in the Forest Hill Center on Harford’s campus at 401 Thomas Run Road, Bel Air, MD, accessible via Entrance #4 near Joppa Hall.

Our littlest Owls explore learning through social, physical, and academic development activities at Harford's Early Learning Center. Interested parents and prospective students are invited to come and meet the teachers, tour the classrooms, meet new friends, and sign up for fall preschool.

The Early Learning Center, licensed by the Maryland Department of Early Childhood, is also fully accredited by the Maryland Accreditation Decision Committee.  The ELC provides a safe, nurturing environment and academic curriculum. In preparation for kindergarten, the staff encourages children of all abilities to develop socially, emotionally and intellectually while gaining a positive self-image. The curriculum incorporates the latest technology, including interactive SMART boards in each classroom and instruction in language arts, math and science, with art, crafts, drama, and story time.

The Early Learning Center provides an environment where curiosity is nurtured, friendships are formed, and children are prepared for future academic success.
