HCRP Civil Rights Leadership Award Nominations Open

Nominations are open for the third annual Harford Civil Rights Project (HCRP) Leadership Award.

View criteria for the award and complete the nomination form here. The nomination deadline is January 24. The HCRP will publicly announce the award recipient at a reception at Harford Community College’s Student Center on February 27. Past award winners include Janice East Moorehead Grant (2023) and Nathalie Mullen James (2024).

The Harford Civil Rights Project supports and recognizes individuals and organizations who promote civil rights concepts such as legal equality, human dignity, equitable opportunities, universal freedom, and individual empowerment. The HCRP Civil Rights Leadership Award honors individuals who have made substantial contributions in greater Harford County and/or are from Harford County and have made contributions elsewhere. The focus of individual civil rights work by nominees may be on any aspect of community life: arts, historical documentation, education, government, justice, neighborhoods, recreation, religion, volunteerism, youth, etc.
