Biotechnology

If you want to explore the modern frontiers of science and find fascination in the possibilities that lie beyond biology, we're excited you're here!

At Harford, you can channel you creative energy and curiosity into biotechnology, where you'll find career
opportunities
in fields like medicine, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, biofuels, and more. Biotechnology uses living organisms or components of them to create new products or processes and is giving rise to a variety of new fields and industries with diverse job opportunities.

At Harford Community College, we offer both an Associate of Applied Science degree and a certificate program that prepare you for employment in the biotechnology workforce.

Supported by a $493,912 grant from the National Science Foundation, Harford Community College is creating BIOTECH Pathways focused on creating accessible pathways for future biotechnicians to progress from public high schools, to degree and certificate programs, to biotechnology careers and/or further study at four-year universities.

Harford's small, student-centered, and flexible learning class options are the ideal learning environment for your biotechnology studies.

WHAT CAN I DO WHEN I COMPLETE THIS PROGRAM?
