Harford Community College offers a variety of courses that meet licensing requirements as per the Office of Child Care (OCC). Multiple credentials are available, including the 90-hour certificate program which meets OCC requirements for lead teachers in the State of Maryland.

This conference for child care professionals and other early educators will focus
on ways to support inclusive playful experiences for all children in early care and
education environments. Participants will earn 6 Core of Knowledge training hours
and 1 PAU. A light breakfast and a box lunch is included.

Maryland Child Care Apprenticeship
Harford Community College also offers an 18-month Child Care Apprenticeship program. It is an "earn while you learn" program designed to be completed while working full-time in licensed Maryland child care facility.
Required Courses
For the 90-hour child care preschool certificate:
