Those in this field are trained to turn raw materials into a wide variety of useful products and components. They work with their hands as well as with computers and are on the cutting-edge as processes evolve.

Manufacturing & Production students learn basic machining skills as well those required in to work in modern production environments using Industry 4.0 controls, automation and processes. Course topics include safety, process specific machining equipment, measurement devices, set-up and layout instruments, and common shop practices. Completers apply for employment in manufacturing and production facilities that produce and distribute a wide range of products from foods to electronics.

What can I do when I complete this program?

This program prepares individuals to succeed in modern production environments that use Industry 4.0 controls, automation, and processes. It's appropriate for individuals working in any advanced manufacturing occupation (not hands-on).

Beginning in Fall 2024, 5 new Career and Workforce Training programs are being offered at Harford's Workforce Training Center at Water's Edge | 4690 Millennium Drive, Suite 101, Belcamp, MD 21017. Funding is available for all programs.
