Harford Community College Board of Trustees Approves Tenure/Promotions for Harford Faculty

Dr. Kim Davis, the new Dean of Arts & Humanities, comes to Harford from Oakland Community College in Michigan, where she served as Associate Dean of Communication, Arts and Humanities. She has been in higher education for 20 years.
Ashley Gereli ‘14, a special education teacher at Churchville Elementary School, was named the 2022 Harford County Public Schools Teacher of the Year. She says her start at Harford helped pave the way for her teaching career.
Harford’s President, Dr. Theresa Felder, is one of 26 community college leaders selected for the 2022-23 class of the prestigious Aspen New Presidents Fellowship, part of the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program.
Dr. Marc Minnick is Harford’s new Dean of Business & Applied Technology. He last served at Manor College in Jenkintown, PA. In addition to his academic experience, Dr. Minnick brings extensive industry background to Harford.
Hosted by Harford’s Nursing and Allied Health Professions Division, the summer 2022 Nursing Class Pinning Ceremony for 32 proud and happy associate degree nursing graduates was held in the Chesapeake Center.
Harford Community College in Bel Air has received $243,252 in funding from the Maryland State Department of Education, Division of Career and College Readiness, under the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act of 2018 (Perkins V).
The spring 2022 Heavy Equipment Operations class was the first to come through Harford’s Leading Edge Training Center Powered by the Ratcliffe Foundation. All the completers received job offers from local businesses.
Harford Community College in Bel Air, Maryland has received funding from the Dresher Foundation to support the development and expansion of the Computer Support Technician Academy into the Route 40 corridor.
