The FY 2022 Nurse Faculty Annual Recognition Awards (NFAR) were recently announced by the Nurse Support Program II, which is administered by the Maryland Higher Education Commission and funded through the Health Services Cost Review Commission. Twenty-three of Maryland’s finest nursing faculty were named as award recipients including Harford Community College’s Mary Beverly Gallagher, Assistant Professor in the Division of Nursing and Allied Health Professions. Awardees were recognized for their contributions to nursing education and their service to Maryland nursing students.
Harford Community College’s radio station WHFC 91.1 FM and the Office of Communications recently announced the launch of “Harford 360,” a new talk show highlighting the variety of important and interesting offerings at the College.

The Actors Guild of Harford Community College will present Wittenberg on February 18, 19, 25 & 26 at 8 PM and February 20 & 27 at 3 PM in the Blackbox Theatre located in Joppa Hall at Harford Community College.
The Hiplet Ballerinas, a performance group based out of the Chicago Multi-Cultural Dance Center, will perform at the Amoss Center on January 29 at 7 PM.
Nobuntu, a female a cappella quintet from Zimbabwe, will perform at the Amoss Center in Bel Air on Saturday, February 5 at 7:30 PM.
Harford Community College was recently awarded a National Science Foundation Award, “Expanding Pathways from High School into the Biotechnology Workforce,” in the amount of $493,912.
