The College held its 66th Annual Commencement on May 23. Many of Harford's graduates attended and celebrated their achievements with their loved ones and friends during one of the two traditional ceremonies held in the APG Federal Credit Union Arena on campus.
Hosted by the College’s Nursing and Allied Health Professions division, Harford’s Spring 2024 Nursing Class Pinning Ceremony for 69 proud and happy associate degree nursing graduates was held on Tuesday, May 21 at the Amoss Center in Bel Air.
The Harford County Electrical Apprenticeship program’s 43rd annual graduation took place May 20. After four years of classroom instruction combined with on-the-job training, the 64 grads earned certificates recognizing them as qualified journeyperson electricians.
Six graduates of Harford’s Medical Assisting Program were celebrated at a ceremony held in Darlington Hall on May 17. They completed 160 hours of training in physicians’ offices across Harford County after finishing their certification or degree coursework.
The College announces the appointment of Olivia Rines, Ph.D., to the position of Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs effective June 1. Dr. Rines brings 11 years of experience in higher education, teaching transitional English, composition, and literature.
Harford Community College will hold its 66th Annual Commencement on Thursday, May 23 in the APG Federal Credit Union Arena at Harford Community College. The College is holding two ceremonies to recognize all August and December 2023 graduates and May and August 2024 candidates for graduation in the College’s associate degree and certificate programs.
Harford has received a grant from the NJCAA, NFL Flag, and RCX Sports to start a women’s flag football program. Funds will help establish recruiting, hire coaches, and begin the process of building a team to be officially established by the spring of 2026.

Harford Community College inducted nine members into SALUTE National Honor Society on May 8 in a ceremony in the College’s Student Center. This was the inaugural induction ceremony for the Harford Community College chapter.
The Board of Trustees of Harford Community College will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 14, beginning at 6 PM. The meeting will be held in a hybrid format; employees and community members may join the meeting in person in Edgewood Hall, Room 132 or watch the meeting via the Internet.
