Harford Community College Students Complete CNA Certification
Master watershed stewards work within their communities to identify pollutants, educate their neighbors about stream health, and take actions to reduce human impacts on water quality. Applications are now being accepted for certification as a master watershed steward in the Master Watershed Stewards Academy, a training program at Harford Community College provided by Harford County government’s Watershed Protection and Restoration Office, and University of Maryland Extension.
Prospective students and parents are invited to learn, ask questions, and get to know Harford Community College at its Virtual Information Night on June 8, 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Harford Community College held its Sixty-Third Annual Commencement on Thursday, May 27. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s ceremony was held virtually. The virtual ceremony gave the graduates a chance to celebrate their achievements with their loved ones from the safety of their homes. The Class of 2021 included a total of 935 graduates.
Two Harford Community College students, Jareen Chowdhury and Shreeyam Mishra, have been named first and second 2021 Phi Theta Kappa All-Maryland Academic Team members, respectively. Both students were recognized during the annual All-Maryland Community College Recognition Ceremony, held virtually this year on May 12, 2021.
Mary Beverly Gallagher, Assistant Professor for Nursing and Allied Health Professions, says what she enjoys most about teaching is interacting with students who are eager to learn.
