    Terms of Use

    • By borrowing Library assets, user accept all responsibility for lost, stolen, and damaged equipment.
    • Asset is due back by assigned due date but may be returned any time prior.
    • Asset should be returned to the Library Circulation Desk during open Library hours.
    • If asset is not returned, user will be held responsible for: Price of item(s), accessories, and any accrued fines.
    • Items already paid for may not be returned for a refund. Payments for lost items and materials are considered final.

    Financial Holds + Collections 

    • A financial hold will be placed on the student’s account if fees for lost/unreturned items meet or exceed $50.  A financial hold prevents student from registering for classes at Harford and obtaining transcripts.
    • Students with long-overdue assets that are not returned or paid for in full will be reported to the Bursar in Harford’s Finance & Accounting department. After being reported to the Bursar, students must negotiate with the Bursar to avoid referral to a Collection Agency.
